Building Information Modeling

I have been in the construction business since 1970 and the best new technology I have seen in my career is called Building Information Modeling. It could also be called virtual design and construction. It is a process that allows the entire design and construction team to collaborate on all details of the project using computer technology.

We just completed The Student Services Building for The University of Texas at Dallas and the team( Hill & Wilkinson, Perkins & Will, University of Texas at Dallas, and key subcontractors ) collaborated through this process to save considerable time and money.
